🔒 Priceloop Privacy Policy

1. What Priceloop Does

Priceloop is a browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. When you manually click the extension icon on a supported e-commerce product page, Priceloop reads publicly visible product information from that page (title, price, image, product identifier, and any UPC/EAN barcode if present) and submits it to the Priceloop backend so you can track price changes over time.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

No personal identifying information — we do not ask for a name, email, or account.
No full browsing history — we only read a page when you explicitly click the extension icon.
No form fields, no passwords, no payment details.
No screenshots, no keystroke logging, no clipboard access.

3. Browser Permissions

The extension uses exactly one permission: activeTab. This allows it to read the content of the currently focused tab — but only when the user clicks the extension icon. We never inject scripts automatically during page load.

4. Affiliate Links

This link is an affiliate link, we may earn commission.
Priceloop may show affiliate-tracked product links next to price data. These are opt-in — we never replace the original buy buttons on any e-commerce site. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, the marketplace may pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you.

5. Data Storage

Submitted product data is stored on our servers for as long as the account / device chooses to keep tracking prices. You can request deletion of any of your extension's submissions by contacting us.
